The Avon Valley Railway Proudly Presents

Thomas at Avon Riverside Come and meet 'Thomas', 'Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller' and 'The Troublesome Trucks'. Spend a day (or even two) discovering what your favourite railway characters get up to, when they're holidaying at the Avon Valley Railway. Miles from the fabled isle of Sodor, Bitton station plays host to the fun and games that Thomas and his friends play when they're not working. They'll be up to their tricks from 10:30am to 5:30pm each day, and you can be sure of lots of good, old-fashioned family fun. Thomas and Friends, What better way to spend a day out with the kids?

Tickets can now be purchased online.

Sir Topham Hatt, aka 'The Fat Controller' It is strongly recommended that tickets are booked in advance. There is no guarantee that tickets will be available on the day as, for safety reasons, numbers are limited. Any remaining tickets are available on the day, prices are:

  • Adult: £12.00
  • Child (3-14): £9.50
  • Infant (aged 2): £3.50
To book in advance using a credit card, call 0117 932 5538 (10-5pm daily) or come in person to the station. Advance bookings will recieve a £0.50 discount per ticket, and avoids the queues! Please note unfortunately we are unable to accept Thomas bookings by email, please download & return an application form (300kb). For any other queries please contact us.

Parking

There is no parking at Bitton Station on Thomas days. Thomas and Friends Free car parking is provided at the Brislington 'Park & Ride' on the A4, and a free vintage bus connection will take you to Bitton station where all the fun starts. There is a Punch & Judy show, a Children's Magic show, a free Thomas sticker for every child, and a host of other sideshows and entertainments.

Thomas the Tank Engine Events are subject to cancellation or alteration at short notice should unforseen circumstances occur. Refunds will only be granted in exceptional circumstances. There is NO PARKING at Avon Valley Railway (Bitton Station). Disabled visitors who require assistance are advised to phone first, and we will make every attempt to arrange parking at the station. Free parking for all will be made available at Brislington 'Park & Ride' on the A4 - follow signs from Bitton Station. A free bus service runs to and from the car park all day.
